Everytime I come back here and there's been a recent post it fucks me up a bit.

I just like to know y'all are still okay. And I get nostalgic sometimes

I feel you. That's why I still check back every couple of months or so.

I wonder when the day's gonna come that no one checks this forum at all though. Probably fairly soon.

Maybe this me just being foolish, but probably not until its closed down. At the very least I check it every couple of months when I have nothing else to do on my phone.

It's so weird that I get reminded of this place every so often when I check my old email and see notifications from the Spam thread. Shit, the last time anyone posted in there was 2016 jeez. I can't believe I still remember so much about this place when it was active. I think I used to be called Astounding Feraligatr or something like that. It's been more than 8 years??? HELLO???

Retrospectively, it's jarring to see how small this community really was. I remember during my freshman year of college, my dormmates and I were talking about old youtubers we used to watch and no one knew about any of the pokemon lets players I talked about except Chuggaaconroy. I guess when I was 11 every semi-popular person seemed larger than life. Crazy how I looked up to people like SpiritofSteel and NickMatt07 and now maybe 50 people in the world remember who they are lmao. Datai was only getting 15k viewers per video at his height??? Damn the only pokemon guy from that group that's still around is MunchingOrange, props to him I guess. We really were just kids making videos for fun though, I suppose it's not that big of a surprise when most people grow out of it.

Regardless, I'm glad I was around to be a part of this little community. Not to sound super corny, but I was having a really tough time in my life during that period and this place really helped me out when I didn't have many friends, y'all were a highlight in my otherwise shitty childhood. It was really fun to hop on and talk about random bullshit for hours and just dot spam the chatroom to avoid afk lol. Much love to everyone I've ever talked to on here. Much love to Cameron (I think that was your name, PokemonRomVideos lol) for making this forum in the first place. We're all adults now too holy shit, we're wildly different people from when this forum was last active! I really hope you're all doing well and you're fulfilling your goals and stuff. If not that's fine too, you're likely in your 20s so you still have a ton of time to figure stuff out. I believe in you!

I'm kinda just rambling at this point but it was cool to have this nostalgia trip. Every few months I still go back to this website and both enjoy a nice nostalgia trip and also can’t help but laugh at how silly all of it was. Gotta say, StephenColbert’s last post always brings a smile to my heart. I still think about all of you and the time we spent here from time to time and I have nothing but fond memories even if I may cringe at some of the adolescent feelings and thoughts we had, it’s a nice little diary entry to go back to.

Anywho I could ramble on but the point is, I hope everyone is doing well in life, and this was a nice community to have for the time we did.

I just read StephenColbert's post for the first time. Goes to show how much I visit, huh?

I then spent the next three hours writing down my Internet Life Story prior to becoming a YouTuber. I wanted to write it down before I forgot everything I had and the internet finished digesting the rest. I wrote 2000 words; my dinner is cold beside me.

I'm turning thirty this year. I registered for my first web forum when I was ten. I became someone new when I was fourteen. I can scarcely remember a time before navigating the intricacies of online identity.

We were kids.
