Comic Con 2012

So this October, I'm going to be attending Comic Con 2012 along with our own resident Batman and possibly even Gesus himself.

My question to you all is: have any of you ever been? And furthermore, do any of you plan to attend? I'd be rad to meet even more of you guys.


PS I wasn't sure what section to put this in, but I figured comics was as good a place as any.

Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to go. I'm kinda short on money because of my most likely moving out of my fathers house.

Yes, I do. And I know that if we all split it three ways, it's not /that/ bad. And I'd probably be inclined to pay a little extra if you needed.

What I'm saying is, I really wanna hang out with Gesus IRL.

When does one need to get tickets by? If I plan this far in advance I may be able to swing something

I think Batman was talking about us getting 3-day passes, which are about 75 bucks. You can get one now, if you need to, but you still have a while. At the door they're like 20 bucks more or something? I dunno.

They're ten dollars more expensive at the door, but also we'd have to wait in line, which totally blows (remember Tora-Con, Hekeshi?). The hotel is the most expensive part, but split three ways it's only 83$, compared to 125$ a night. I priced it out like so;

Bus- 40$ (Round Trip Amtrack)

Hotel- 125$ per night (two people), 83$ per night (three people), and we'd be staying from that Friday to Sunday, so three nights. 375$ for two people, and 249$ for three.

Con Ticket- 65$ (3-day pre-order ticket)

Food- 40$ (We can split meals, or just do our own thing. Regardless, it works out to about that)

-Total- 575$ for two and 394$ for three people.

Thats without spending money, which is up to the individual. But a third person cuts 181$ off of the costs.

Hekeshi it is your destiny to go with us. You have to. It's the law.

It'll kinda hinge on if I can get more hours at work. I'll let you guys know within the next couple of weeks.

I agree. XD Getting the money will be easy-squeezy, and it'll be almost 200$ per person, which is a godsend (and also means I can probably afford my tattoo).

Wait, where is this? Moneys not an issue, I can afford to go, but location kind of matters. Can't really go out of state in the school year.

You and I (and I guess PRV) will have more expenses, though, because we gotta get there. The cheapest way would probably be the bus or something, but I'm probably gonna fly. Unless of course you were bussing up there and I could meet up with you beforehand or something.

although a friend of my brother's might be going so I could ask him for a ride

That'd save you a lot. And hey maybe he could stop by here and we could have a road trip.
