E3 2012 (was pretty disapointing, except for Nintendo)

Alright, so, I haven't really hardcore watched E3 up until a few years ago, so this doesn't make me an expert. HOWEVER, being a consumer in the free market of Video Games, I couldn't do anything but wonder "what the actual fuck" is happening? I mean, Sony showed off that stupid Storybook thing and Microsoft had Usher, who isn't even relevant anymore. But Nintendo saved E3 with the WiiU stuff, but still. Being someone who isn't exclusively a Nintendo fan, I feel a little concerned about the future of non-Nintendo gaming. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Ehh. Even Nintendo started kind of falling off. OH HEY NINTENDOLAND YEAH THIS IS COOL. and I was like "yeah I guess but come on now" but I realize they are showing their stuff off to investors rather than us, so whatevs.

Don't forget Ubisoft batman. They were pretty darn good this year. This was the first time I even cared about a third party's presentation.

Yeah, I mean, Uncharted in the City looked pretty cool. Also Assassin's Creed 3 was niftykeen, but it didn't really "wow" me. I don't expect to be blown away, but I feel like E3 as a whole was pretty "meh".

I honestly thought it was all lame, even nintendo, this year. Nothing piqued my interest much, especially not enough to get me psyched. I mean, Nintendo announced the WiiU last year, give us something new.

I think the detail with the Wii U was interesting enough.

Pikmin 3 was the only thing they showed that I was really interested in. All the other stuff was just kinda okay or a rehash.

I think it was largely because of what kind of year this was. All of the big companies are in transitional periods, with Microsoft and Sony likely still working on new systems and Nintendo having recently announced theirs. All they can really announce right now is games, and us being the type of people we are, we usually hear about games a lot sooner than others do. So we're just harder to wow.

That's a really good point, I mean, I've known about LM: DM and PM:S (lol pms) for a while.
